Runway is a JSP based application that switched on knowledge hosts on our own servers, meaning no installation or upgrade problems for you. As it's accessible online there are no problems with access and portability, and we back up your data nightly.

Operating System - Fedora Core Red Hat Linux
Linux is the operating system our web servers use, providing a stable environment on which to host web content. Further information can be found at http://fedora.redhat.com/. We provide configuration documents to you prior to going live for you to review. This will reflect the current configuration of the server in the 'staging' environment.
Middleware - Tomcat v5.0
Tomcat is the servlet container used to serve JSP pages. Tomcat is developed in an open and participatory environment and released under the Apache Software License. Further information can be found at http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/
Database - MySQL Server v5.0
MySQL database server is a popular open source database platform suitable for high-volume, business-critical applications. This provides a solid platform in which to manage contacts (prospects and customers) and content. Further information can be found at http://www.mysql.com/
Web Server - Apache 2.0.52
The Apache HTTP Server Project is an effort to develop and maintain an open-source HTTP server for modern operating systems including UNIX and Windows NT. Back-up
switched on knowledge is responsible for the maintenance of logs and routine database integrity and backup, included as part of the nightly routine. We send reports generated by these processes to the switched on knowledge database team for review.
