Runway has been rebuilt from the ground up using the latest Web 2.0 techniques and technologies. The Runway software still offers the same comprehensive sales and marketing functionality as previous versions, but the new interface sets up Runway for a raft of new functions coming in 2009 - including our brand new content management system and campaign management tool.
Rowan Kelly who leads the Runway interface and development team says:
"Our primary concern was to maintain the integrity of the original Runway software for existing users. The test was to ensure they could navigate the new interface without additional training, while providing new functions they could discover at their own pace.
"The 'one click' approach to navigating all areas of the system remains, however we now provide a breakthrough navigation feature that allow users to view (or hide) the information they prefer to see when fulfilling their job. Runway remembers these viewing preferences, so each sequential time a user logs on, Runway only shows what they need.
"We’ve also added a new user dashboard as part of the main navigation that you can turn on and off. It lists the last 10 transactions, status graphs and simplified calendar.
"Runway is now also a lot faster. We’ve made a series of improvements behind the scenes to improve searching and reporting. We’ve also invested tens of thousands of dollars upgrading our servers to ensure largest Runway databases, that hold millions of records perform just like a small Runway database."
For a small fee, clients will soon have the option to upgrade to the new Runway 4.
