sog generates over 7,000 new customers
sog generates over 7,000 new customers for ActewAGL and TransACT essential and lifestyle service joint venture.
ActewAGL was formed when the Australian Gas Light Company, a major private sector group, and ACTEW Corporation, a government-owned enterprise, embarked on Australia's first essential and lifestyle services.
This was followed with a management agreement between ActewAGL and TransACT Capital Communications Pty Ltd, making ActewAGL a true multi-utility provider offering electricity, natural gas, water, wastewater, telephone and Internet services under one roof.
In March this year, switched-on entered into an exclusive agreement with ActewAGL to develop cross-sell and new customer sales in ACT and capital NSW region. By October 10 we had generated 7,000 new customers in single or bundle product sales.
According to Troy Latter, Manager, Market Strategy and Acquisition at ActewAGL and TransACT: "switched-on is unique in that they combine a performance based staff culture, sophisticated electronic marketing, commercial grade software solutions and apply a disciplined process to ensure the whole sales engine runs smoothly.
Sure, there are heaps of local and overseas call centers offering aggressive phone sales services. However, we fear their approach would misrepresent our company and that in the regulated environment we operate within, they would generate unnecessary complaints.
The people, training, processes and systems that switched-on engineered reduced our average sales rejection rate from double figures down to under 1%. Less rejections mean more profits, happier customers and significantly reduced administration costs."
switched-on provides an end-to-end outsourced solution for ActewAGL, including data merging and correction, 7 day a week telephone sales, digital voice recording sales verification, online real time reporting and data integration with billing systems.
